From now on, I decide to write the annual self-reflection. While I know planning for the future is a good movie, but I think I have to take time to reflect on the previous 12-months. It might help me to appreciate my wins, identify my weaknesses and how I can better employ my energy.

My 18 started with a small and hilarious birthday party with some of my friends. We decided to stay after class and drank beer then got drunk together. Ironically, because of being so intoxicated, a close friend of mine wanted to commit suicide despite our attempts to prevent her. Of course, that crazy decision was unsuccessful. But every time we recall it, we always feel so laughable..lol!!

Anyway, My 18 was a year of learning and experiencing. There was no record-breaking moments, no great achievements but it was still full of memorable experience and great relationships.

First, I completed my last year of high school, and got an acceptable result for the University Entrance Exam. Becoming a Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) student was one of the successes worth mentioning in my 18. And since then, I started my independent life in Hanoi, started to take responsibility for my own decisions. Somehow, I learned to take care of myself, used money reasonably or even survived for a week with only tens of thousands Dong 📷))). Becoming the monitor of my college class was a right (and wrong also) decision that I have ever made. This was not a strange and difficult task for me, but in this new environment, it also gave me some difficulties that I had to spend time thinking about. However, thereby I learned to how keep calm in many situations, how to face difficulties (or sometimes criticism), and how to build and maintain a relationship. And maybe I understood a little more about life.

Next, it's impossible not to mention G-College Singapore - the best organization I've ever participated in. G-College Singapore gave me a opportunity to meet talented, dynamic and wonderful people, to do great things that I have never imagined and to receive valuable advice and lessons that really hard to find. I had a chance to manage the Travel Award 2018 project and probably succeeded beyond my expectations. UEE Training Program 2019 has been my next task with G-College and I hope to complete it as best as possible.

Another unforgettable memory of my 18s was probably the Vietnam Youth Parliament. VNYP gave me more than a 6-month journey. It brought me great friends and team mates; allowed me to meet talented people like a Quân, a Cường and c Tới, ... thereby giving me inspiration and motivation to study and strive further in the future.

And finally, it's great to mention my community project that I'm working on - Study Abroad Together. This brain child of mine has just started 3 weeks but our page has reached to more than 2600 likes and a first project with more than 200 applications in just 2 weeks. I decided to help the first two high school students and hopefully be able to do something meaningful (or maybe influence).

In the age of 18, I also accomplished a few goals worth mentioning :

Got an acceptable band score in IELTS Started learning Japanese language (but But I was not really good at it!! Lol 📷)) ) Got an opportunity to go abroad (India) with CSDS (However I refused )

At the age of 18, I also made a few mistakes, and one of them was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life.

Due to the carelessness (and partly due to my lack of preparation), I missed a scholarship that I had prepared very carefully for the past 2 years. The biggest lesson I have received is meticulousness. I hope that I can correct this mistake in my 19 ^^.

I did not really use my time at HUST effectively. I may have missed a lot of knowledge and lessons that I should have. I sometimes have not really focused on training myself at this school. It may not really suit me, but if there is a chance to continue, I will try to make things better.

That is my 18. It was not a really successful year that i have had in life but it somehow helps me to learn, realize my mistakes and know what i have to do in my 19. So it’s enough!!! 📷

P/s: This annual self-reflection forces me to review and look back on my past year to learn something from my mistakes and try to do better in my next 19! Everyone!! I hope you can do the same so we can share every memorable moment together and see how our life is!!!!
